The BNB Hackathon in Bangkok concluded with innovative blockchain solutions, awarding top projects like opMatch and BNB Defi Aggregator. A prize pool of $230,000 was shared among participants.
The recent BNB Hackathon held in Bangkok, Thailand, from November 9-10, 2024, showcased the cutting-edge potential of blockchain technology. The event attracted over 100 developers and blockchain enthusiasts who gathered to push the boundaries of innovation, according to BNB Chain’s official blog. The hackathon offered a collaborative space for participants to develop and present their projects focused on the BNB Chain ecosystem.
Held in the vibrant district of Ratchadaphisek, the hackathon was marked by a blend of creativity and competition. The event was supported by various sponsors, including World of Dypians, Seraph, Hooked Protocol, and Cleverse, alongside community partners like Dorahacks and Developer DAO. These collaborations were crucial in bringing together industry experts and participants from different parts of the world.
Participants were engaged in several workshops, gaining insights into varied topics such as user behavior analytics, NFT potential, and ecosystem support from Google Cloud. These sessions provided attendees with valuable knowledge to enhance their projects, focusing on technical development and funding.
The hackathon featured a prize pool of $230,000, divided among multiple challenge tracks. Participants were encouraged to innovate within the BNB Chain ecosystem, exploring areas like Web3 integration with Telegram and innovative DeFi solutions. Judging criteria included technical innovation and user experience, with experts from organizations such as Stanford Blockchain Accelerator and SNZ on the panel.
After reviewing 38 submissions, three projects emerged victorious. First place was awarded to opMatch, a Telegram-based app integrating with BNB Chain. BNB Defi Aggregator, a cross-chain DEX aggregator, secured second place, while MiroX, a decentralized asset management platform, took third. These projects were recognized for their innovative contributions to the blockchain ecosystem.
The BNB Hackathon winners will have the opportunity to present their projects at the BNB Incubation Alliance in Bangkok on November 13th, where they can connect with venture capitalists for further growth opportunities. Additionally, future events like the BNB Hack Taipei and the Q4 Online Hackathon are set to continue fostering blockchain innovation.
