Sei Network's $10 million Creator Fund enters its fifth round, offering $250,000 for video content creators to enhance community engagement and ecosystem growth.
The Sei Network has announced the launch of the fifth round of its Creator Fund, a $10 million initiative aimed at promoting innovation and growth within its ecosystem. The latest round, which opens applications on January 13, 2025, features a $250,000 matching pool specifically earmarked for video content creation and community engagement, according to Sei.
This round of the Sei Creator Fund is dedicated to supporting projects that contribute to the Sei ecosystem through video content. The initiative encourages creators to develop live streaming sessions, product demos, and both long-form and short-form video content across platforms like YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. A total of $250,000 worth of SEI will be allocated among successful applicants, with an additional bonus pool of 185,000 SEI available for further incentives.
Interested participants are invited to submit their applications between January 13 and January 27, 2025, with voting and donations commencing on January 28, 2025. Applicants are required to demonstrate a consistent portfolio of quality video content and active community engagement. They must also present a clear content strategy and evidence of their capacity to execute plans effectively.
The funding model employed by the Sei Creator Fund is based on Quadratic Funding (QF), which is designed to prioritize projects with broad community support rather than just large donations. This approach is intended to ensure that projects with widespread appeal receive a higher share of the matching funds, thereby fostering a fair and balanced ecosystem.
Sei Network has outlined strict ethical and community standards for participation in the Creator Fund. These include prohibitions against hate speech, market manipulation, and unauthorized financial advice. Participants are expected to comply with all applicable laws and maintain transparency and integrity in their content creation and community interactions.
In addition to the central fund, creators can earn bonuses through engagement challenges and referral rewards. The top five creators with the highest engagement will receive additional SEI tokens, encouraging participants to produce content that resonates with the community.
